Freshly processed, the shells display an appealing mix of white, cream, tan, and brown hues. Over time, exposure to sunlight naturally bleaches the shells to a uniform white, creating a classic coastal aesthetic. This sun-bleaching process typically occurs over 3–18 months, depending on the weather, season, and placement area.
